A country ballad written for the pairing of Elton John and Tammy Wynette, and one of the more unexpected matchups on Duets, which also paired Elton with Little Richard, Bonnie Raitt, and RuPaul. Producer Barry Beckett was a founding member of the famed Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section, which helped define the “Muscle Shoals sound.” The duet was recorded about five years before Wynette’s death in 1998.
