The lead single from Peter Murphy’s second solo album, which was largely written with former B-Movie keyboardist Paul Statham and recorded with Murphy’s band The Hundred Men. AllMusic noted a continuing David Bowie influence on the album while saying it showed Murphy “fully coming into his own as a performer.” A live version of the song later appeared as a B-side on his 1992 singles from Holy Smoke.
